Adam and Eve tried to shift blame |
|
|
-
The man said, "The woman you put here with
meshe gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it." Then the LORD God said
to the woman, "What is this you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent
deceived me, and I ate" (Genesis 3:12-13).

Some try to blame God |
|
|
-
"A mans own folly ruins his life, yet his heart
rages against the LORD" (Proverbs 19:3).
|
|
Do not judge others while you fail
to acknowledge your own sin |
|
|
-
"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the
same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be
measured to you. "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brothers eye
and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother,
Let me take the speck out of your eye, when all the time there is a plank in
your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will
see clearly to remove the speck from your brothers eye" (Matthew 7:1-5).
